I was wondering if by the unlucky chance that tess and can't make it to meet up, where would everyone else prefer to meet? Since most of us are around the south end of England I think we should have a back up now instead of waiting till the last minute to figure this out. Is there a central location based around everyone that someone can suggest? Seeing as how I'm not from there, I have no clue where everything is as well as all of you. Let me know guys. I fly out in 3 days!

I was thinking more of the fact that London is a suitable distance for everyone not to have to fork out on a hotel room and just get a train back towards the end of the night

I'm good for the 12th-14th. I belive I'll be working the night before though, so anyone planning to travel with me will either have to delay for a while if I try to sleep for a bit, or else you'll end up with someone who is sleep deprived and mental.

Like most game nights, really.

If we meet during the day on the 12th then I can stop off in London on my way down to Brighton, I only have to be in Brighton in the evening.

I fly out in 8 hours. Knock on wood, cross your finger, hang a horseshoe, say a prayer... whatever it is you do, please do it for me. I'm TERRIFIED of flying and I'll be in planes for 2 days, so wish me luck and i hope to see all of you soon. I'll let you all know when i land SAFELY.

Right, so as no-one else has bothered to organise this, im going to suggest this as a template for the day:

1. Meet at Waterloo station at 13:00pm (ish).
2. Find a local pub - tube tickets are pretty cheap for a day pass for the local zones so personally i dont mind doing a bit of travelling if people know a good spot for lunch.
3. Drink / laugh at Cable.
4. Go home.

Reply if your coming otherwise we wont know who to wait for at the station!

I say we meet at Tottenham court road, right in the centre. Or if you want to wait outside, Soho square is good.

Given that theres 3 of us comming up from the southlands, we'd be arriving there anyway. And nearby, you have all sorts of stuff, like the Aquarium, the London Eye, Namco, etc. So stop yer whinging, and get yer arse to Waterloo, you big baby.

I'm sure at a pinch, we'll just use Waterloo as a general meetup point, then migrate to somewhere more central to either meet anyone else arriving after us, or just in general to facilitate easier departures for whence that time commeth. Or something.

In any case, we're trying to come up with a plan here, so nothing is set in stone just yet. Still waiting for the other 'tards to get their arses online and post yays or nays.

I'm on a pc with a pentium 4 processor, so yeah I'm a bit grumpy well I'm in provided its during the day on 12th I don't mind where as I'll just get a travel card to get about. (Dan you going to be in Brighton on 13th to meet Vicky?)

Well we're online and ready for the 12th. I think I'm going to get a hotel room for the night though guys. Don't much see the point of going out to the pubs and either NOT getting smashed or not being able to enjoy the "pub" night out. *shrugs* If we're going to get hammered, then let's do it properly! LOL So anyone who wants to crash at ours in case of inebriation is welcome to do so. Better to sleep it off in a hotel then risking the drive. Not really sure how strict they are in this country about all that though. Anyway, let us know!
