yep, makes it a lot easier to get at stuff - especially since the board has a power button built onto it etc., - I couldn't find a suitable case to hold all the hard drives and ones close to it cost over £100 and required shed loads of cooling.
Instead I used the case money for other things, it's bolted to the wall (making theft tricky), also it doesn't really gather dust - I found cases mean forcing high volumes of air through them, so gather dust Lots of fans to cool also means lots of noise . Without the artificial airflow forcing dust into the system the heat just convects up and away, the components are still cool and everything is silent since there are only 2 low rpm fans with the chipset and voltage regulators. -------------------- |

Thorougily approve of the commodore case - I'd buy one myself if I ever intended on using a case
Out of curiosity (I'm nosy) you've got win7 which handles lots of ram, so why have you 6gb with only 3 usable? -------------------- |

it all depends if your sharing memory with other hardware like gfx card etc. i think windows does this automatically... long time since i used 32bit and had to worry about these sorts of things
