Hi, I think it was 1 or 2 days ago when I was banned from Limited Archer to UK EU.
When I try to connect it says 'Your IP adress has been banned from the current game session.' It also banned me from your other server, 50 player carnage UK EU. I remember clearly, that i didn't done anything wrong, it was the middle of the darkforest map and we captured the point near the gates, i killed several enemies and waited near the point, suddenly, i received a kick with no reason. As i say before, i didn't write anything in the chat, i didn't TK anyone, there was no any reports from other players etc. I played enough time on these servers and there was no even kicks of me before. |

1. Emm... do you read the rules of server? http://www.sneakymonkeys.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1747
Show me, please, where written that its forbidden. 2. I didn't saw ANY of your warnings. Honestly. It look liked you can't even wright your warnings in the field "ban reason' or in game, maybe it takes too much time for you to doing so hard things. Anyway, PERMANENT ban... are u kidding me? 3. Don't you see the difference between 'using & abusing sniff ground mecanics' and using fast overhead type of strike several times? Maybe we should ban anyone, who use 'slow' or 'fast' strikes? |

Right, firstly there was a public poll and clan members poll regarding the high-fov 3rd person crouched overhead (floor sniffing) style of gameplay, mostly revolving around whether to inhibit it by removing 3rd person from the server altogether which it seems the majority of clan servers have already done, the results of which were to keep 3rd person, but to warn and eventually kick/ban people who use this floor-sniffing mechanic excessively.
As for the rules on the forum, that's my bad: after the vote I hadn't updated them, although broadly speaking floor-sniffing could be encompassed in the 'unintended game mechanics' section. I will update that post to make it crystal clear shortly. Additionally from the logs, warning were issued prior to removing you. Since TB broke the adminban option on the scoreboard, it's not possible to include a reason for the ban here (it is still possible to include the reason if banning via console commands or confirming the ban via console, but obviously most admins would find this overly clunky). Anyway regarding point 2, I don't appreciate you getting narky with an admin who takes time out of their own gameplay to try and maintain server rules and ensure a fun environment for everyone. Instead of stating your case and asking for the ban to be removed you have chosen to have a dig at the admin in your 2nd point. It would normally be up the admin to choose whether to lift the ban or not. In this case, after your 2nd point I'm going to ask that the ban remain permanent on all the SM servers. -------------------- |

"Instead of stating your case and asking for the ban to be removed you have chosen to have a dig at the admin in your 2nd point." That's my case in the 1 post, any narky? "Hi, I think it was 1 or 2 days ago when I was banned from Limited Archer to UK EU. When I try to connect it says 'Your IP adress has been banned from the current game session.' It also banned me from your other server, 50 player carnage UK EU. As i say before, i didn't write anything in the chat, i didn't TK anyone, there was no any reports from other players etc. I played enough time on these servers and there was no even kicks of me before." That's answer from your admin, very polite. "i send you several warnings but it look liked you can't even read my warnings." So, when the admin is rude to polite request - its fine and when the user don't accept it and answered the same way - it's "narky". If your admins choose that way of talking and u think it's fine, ok, i got your point, but to be honest, after that kind of answer, i loose any wish to play on your servers. Dithyrambique Well, i am glad that your superior covered you this time and maybe you feel youself very comfortable and that allow you to mock innocent people even now. I am pretty sure, we both know who was right and who was wrong in this situation and i understand why u ban me. The last thing i want to say to you, that i have a looong game experience in many online games from CS to our days and the admins of your type (in game and in talking) always ended the same way. Anyway, enjoy yourself while you can. Cheers. |
