Hi so i was just kicked from the SM chivalry server, saw on your guys rules that this is were i report admin abuse. I have been a longtime player in chivalry, ive played since the mod days, love the game and I like to play on you'r guys server from time to time, i have almost always had good experiences with the players as well as the SM admins. In fact i think you guys for the most part have very good admins. So out of respect for the people who play on the sever as well as the integrity of SM feel like i should post this.
Anyways i was just playing on the server with fool here and several people said he was using an aimbot, and after playing in the game against him for a good 20 minutes i thought that they were right. So i asked why he is hacking. Now you guys might think, of course he doesn't hack, and maybe he doesn't, but his response was to say anyone calling him hacker was a dumb noob (i'm 44 and everyone else was also a higher level) and shortly after saying that, he muted my in game chat, as i'm sure he also did to the other people questioning his playing abilities. Now this seems excessive as he could have chose to ignore the chat, he could have laughed it off, could have calmly, maturely and politely asked people to stop talking to him, instead he mutes peoples chat, no reason given. After realizing i was muted i decided to rejoin the game. As soon as i joined i said "LOL why did you ban me from chat?" I was instantly kicked. Again this is overstepping his admin privileges and going against SM's own rules as it states that i need to be given a reason before a ban. So i decided to join 1 more time to try and calmly figure out why fool felt the need to ban me for calling him a hacker. Now again even if it was not hacking, I was not breaking the rules, I was not being abusive or rude. After getting back on the server i asked him why he banned me and i said he is overstepping his bounds as an admin. His response was along the lines of "I dont have anything to say to you, feel free to report this". Now other people on the server felt the same way as me, that this was an overstep of admin privileges, Now this time he threatened that if i didn't stop "Spamming" the chat i would be kicked, he used some colorful language as well. Now I believe spamming would be constantly typing text in chat over and over again, not trying to have a conversation, But this time he seems to realize he needed to follow SM rules and give me some kind of reason. And then bam, 1 hour ban. Now i understand it is my words against his and i'm sure Fool can make up whatever he wants and you guys wont take the word of some player over someone who you know and is on you'r competitive team. But as a gamer, admin abuse can be very annoying, especially in a game like chivalry were as you guys know players get kicked for everything under the sun. You guys have a good server but allowing admins to overstep their responsibilities and break their own rules can lead to a bad server. Again this is a shot in the dark but if you guys are not already aware, Fool seems to take his admin privileges as a means to ban people he doesn't like which is in stark contrast to you'r good admins who i have seen defuse many arguments, ban hackers, and be kind and respectful. Fool is none of those things and if he is sporting the SM tag then I think he should be required live up to the integrity that is displayed by you'r more mature admins. Everything i said here is what happened, i have no reason to lie, whether you guys chose to do anything about is obviously up to you, but I don't think what he did is allowed by you'r own rules so i think it is best to report this. Ok well no need for the obnoxious response, but thanks for at least proving some of my point. Now I don't really care if you were hacking or not, that's not really my point. My point is that I, along with several others on the server, found you to be playing suspiciously and instead of dealing with it maturely you decided to censor people. Its like that quote from game of thrones. "The only reason you would cut out a man tongue is because you are scared of what they have to say" or something like that. Either way I don't care weather you hack or not, but i do care, as does SM, if you are abusing admin powers to censor people you don't like.
Also i would point out i was not the one who first accused you of hacks, several other players accused you and continued to, i just said i agreed with them and its shitty that you hack, that's when you decided to mute me. there was no please stop or any remotely polite response. And here is were you decide lying is your best course of action. I was not rude or abusive to you, neither was my post here. I find it ironic and hilarious that you are both rude and abusive in you'r response, calling someone a retard for reporting you'r blatant abuse of admin privileges is probably not the smartest way to prove that you do not abuse your privileges. Also I have never seen an Admin on SM in Chivalry or any game for that matter ever ban someone for asking questions and trying to have a respectful debate or conversation, for you to think that is acceptable is ridiculous. Bucket this is admin abuse for several reason 1. Censoring chat for the sole reason that people were questioning his playing abilities. 2. Kicking people from a game without reason or explanation 3. Being disrespectful harassing, rude, admins always represent their community and or group (in this case SM) and from what i have seen this is not what SM stands for. 3. Banning a player for one hour for a claim of spamming chat, when there was no chat spam and that player was asking legitimate questions. 4. And yeah, I stated in my post that this irks me, as it would irk you if i were to ban you from a server for asking questions. Also that would be awesome if you guys can check the logs, as i did not think to screen cap our lovely conversation until right before i was banned again, you can even see fool harassing me right before the ban, as well as other people saying how he was crossing the line. The logs support everything i am saying, again no reason to lie, but after dealing with Fool in game and considering this incredibly obnoxious and pretentious response, I don't think i need to say anything further. If i play on the server again while fool is on i will make sure to screen cap his responses. And yes Sneeky I do call out hackers if i ever see anything suspect, i don't see how that makes me butthurt as i am not a new player by any means. However In this case it was other players calling him out for aim boting as an archer, and after playing further it did seem rather suspect that Fool was hitting every single one of his shots. I understand there are amazingly good players but i tend to be skeptical. We all know there is a hacking problem in chivalry, especially in competitive, obviously less so on public, but i feel that as someone who has a lot of playtime in this game as a whole, and as someone who has researched what hacks there are and how they work, i would be doing a disservice not calling out what i believe to be hacks. Also since you asked, here it is in black and white, Sneaky Monkeys Rules Handbook page 12, "If you are acting as admin, please try to keep personal abuse to a minimum and keep matters as fair and mature as possible when performing admin duties." "Our reputation is important to us and it doesn’t look good if a player post a screenshot showing an admin giving them abuse. Misuse of admin powers may result in revocation of specific or all admin abilities." "Admins should make sure that if they are kicking or banning it is done in accordance of the server rules – admins should not kick players for things that are not covered in the server rules. Again this is covered under misuse of admin powers" i believe those are the rules you were asking for. According to SM rules the only way banning me would be justified would be if i was harassing you, spamming chat, acting disrespectful, tking, all the stuff which i did not do. Cheers |

Mate. You accused a very good archer player in front of hacking in front of the whole server. Not even accused, you just said so yourself, you stated he was hacking. No proof. Who's being rude here? This thing happens all the time on the server, sorry to say this but mediocre low rank players accuse high rank players of hacking all the time. This is rude, you were being rude. You were NOT being polite in the first place and it baffles me why you were expecting a polite response. The hyprocrisy you're presenting here is out of this world. We as admins are still regular players. Ask yourself how would you feel in Fool's place. And how was Fool even supposed to defend himself and proof he was not hacking? Next time on the street hit someone in a face and expect him to be polite about it, because that's how the whole situation looks to me. And before you start whining we're blind and protecting our abusive teammate - we get equally angry when any other non-SM player gets accused of hacking. It's just a dick move. Remember: things you say have consequences. You can't state someone's hacking because they (I am sorry again) obviously a better player than you and expect them to be chill about it. Edit: this is a simple truth about life: if you want people to be nice to you, be nice to them. You were not and you have no right to expect a nice response. We are not being paid for customer service, we are first and foremost players. -------------------- |
