If you want to try it out theres a demo (and there always bit torrent, just not for online multiplayer (lan is ok though)) - its basically a coop zombie shooter (4 players co-op) or 8 player versus (4 humans, 4 boss zombie + bot normal zombies)

It takes a bit of getting used to, but its great fun and have been playing recently with tess, raile and harkinfell.

Valve also restricted the maps you can play in versus mode, after a bit of tinkering I've 'unrestricted'™ them and multiplay were kind enough to allow the new code base on their servers.

Ah well or the more reason if I can try and kick the other 3 too, 5 get this game so we can bring back the duo!

It really really comes into it's own on versus mode - personally I like being infected more than survivors as you're basically there to cause as much chaos as possible (which is my kind of game )

p.p.s the maps that valve took out and I put back in (vs mode dead air/death toll) can be found on sneakymonkeys.com/maps.rar and sneakymonkeys.com/maps2.rar (they go in the maps directory)

p.p.p.s If you want control over the sneakymonkeys server, you need to setup a clanforge account (on multiplay) and I need your username, firstname and lastname to create an account (thankfully though there's not much adminning as cheating is practically unheard of... which makes a refreshing change )

cause personally I cant play new games like cod 4/5 or farcry 2 n such because my comp is like 2/3 years old now

Just recently started playing it - it's pretty new, released end of November

Happy new year for when you're next on (although I might actually be around at midnight, seeing as me and tess were toying with the idea of a cheap new year rather than partying - so that we could instead go on a short holiday somewhere nice (and hopefully not get the new Ipods robbed this time )

i guess i'll have to get it in february since we have a server for it now. i'm gonna have to get a desktop also so i can play more than just bf2.

tbh i cant see myself playing it much, its alright, i just hate being the infected people, its no fun

yeah I finished the single mode version and I really enjoyed shooting the zombies
twas a cool game , but Im just like magik I dont like bein infected
whats the point of a fps if u dont have a gun lol ,the good part is that when ur infected u can make ur ennemy really scared
I used to play a vampire FPS I was like AAAAAh when the vampire was in front of me lol
but same deal I prefered the guns back then

ahhh to be honest, I felt the same as you two (and Tess initally) - didn't like playing infected.

However after playing a while, I started to like ifnected more... until now I actually prefer infected to survivors.

I think the style of game is different to what we're used to which makes it difficult for us to adapt to; survivors are straight forward, but infected is about hindering the survivors as much as possible.

This means that as infected you'll die a lot and probably won't prevent a decent group from finishing, but when you do, its well worth it.

Survivors have an easy task, get from A to B, kill everything along the way. To play infected requires a bit more thought - most of the attacks require co-ordination with your teamates and a good dose of sneakiness - 2 areas which we're not honed to in the wonderful world of bf2.

although ive not played anything other than the demo on PC me and my mate own it up on the seXbox as infected. Usually its me as a hunter/ booooomer and him as a smoker and the plan is he chokes sm1 and then i run in and pounce the guy who comes to save the choaked one or i run in and boom the choaked peep then me and him get bonus points cos they is stranglerds and boomed and then big hoard comes and munches some brains!! woop woop

Xbox is for gays. PC is more fun and the mouse is so much more suitable for aiming than an analog stick will ever be.
