Some time this afternoon I was banned from the karkand infy server, no reason given and I would like to appeal.

Oddly enough I frapsed the whole round, and am making it into a video.

Anyways, just would like to get the ball rolling

Along with fraps, the server logs battlerecorder (sneakymonkeys.com/demos) - you may want a copy of your match

To follow up on this I believe you were banned by foxx_in_socks following complaints on the website, an unbelieveably high score (in comparison with other players) - something like 80 kills to 2 deaths, which didn't match the K/D ratios on barrakuda777/barrakudasss/100_Barrakuda etc.,


I had a look throught he ban history and server history on the EA database and can't see anything that would warrant a ban. Also you are returning clean PB screenshots (Although sadly this can never be relied upon)

It's fairly standard practice that if a new player on the server scores what may be considered an unrealistic score they may be removed pending further investigation - this is simply to protect the server as we have become somewhat of a target with the hacksites

Anyway, the ban is removed.

Thank you very much. I understand the need to protect a server and have no issues with it.

Tbh I get it a lot and im used to it, i always appeal and as I am clean, it mostly gets sorted.

I was recording on the server for a kill-streak video and am processing the entire round at the moment, i will be happy to post it for you guys (see previous movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMGMZiLiZpc)

I plan on a little smiley at the ban at the end as it is quite a standing joke that I cant play on any server where they don't know me without getting a ban within 1 - 2 rounds

You only make videos using fraps - have you not tried rendering the battlerecorder files into video?

saw first min or 2, will watch rest later as im in work

you have a good aim but then again you are using the svd, and most people who record videos about themselves are almost always on mec

maybe i should do one of these later on to show how gay bf2 hitboxes can be =]

however id be on the usmc m16-ing it up xD

am tempted to use the battlerecorder from the vehicles server to make a stunts type video.. the only problem being my average survival time in a jet is roughly 5 seconds

Really? Most sniper vids I have seen from the top players are using the l96....

svd is the best sniper, but most nubs just think unlocks are better just because they are unlocks so they dont realise what they are missing...

but i hate snipers, mainly because the majority of them just claywhore themselves through every match, showing no skill whatsoever

i only have respect for people who use bullets and bullets only, but im really fussy =]

I've always found that most snipers that reckon they're good use the SVD - simply because providing you can hit a guy a few times (compensating for recoil), you can kill them quickly

Whereas if you don't top someone in one shot with the l95 etc., then you have to reload - by which time the person has probably gone far far away

Its nice to see snipers sniping rather than running up to people point blank and dropping claymores in their face

nice to see someone who actually posts the entire round.. i get really tired of seeing a guy post a vid that has been edited to show only the kills. a guy with a 1 and 10 k/d can make a vid like that and make himself look great..

however..

i watched for about a minute till i saw you drop loads of claymores and then turned it off
if you are actually really good, then playing sniper and dropping claymores is kind of wasting your reputation

Hehehe, i think i drop 3 in the entire round and only get a kill from 1 of them

I thought i was in for 4 guys coming for me from train as I just killed them and thought they would come for some more

I do use clays, but only when its prudent to do so

im having troble recording with fraps... i no how to use it, just it lags my game out so much, and sometimes playback is really choppy

my pc can handle it, is there any special trick to using it?

mines set in movies to 30fps @ full size i have no probs,and record sound obviously

mines a little strange, set bf2 res to 1024x768 and recorded at full res, no audio @25fps

had a round on the wonkas(LOLOLOL) last night that i recorded and was a little laggy at the beginning, and towards the end - yet fine in the middle for most of it

will post up once im done editing/encoding - and yes, its the full round, including all my embarrasing fuck ups =]
