i think you need to send me the monies and ill build it for you :S
Lawpf2001
thats very generous of you to do that for me. however i think you might spend the money on some cheap lame hookers or a skins esque party rather than builidng me a comp

setup fine, but tbqfh id reccommend an 8800gt over the 9600 - same performance less ££

Although I like corsair memory, am still unsure about their PSU's. I've always personally recommended Hiper - they always seem to have the most consistant loads and especially for me (who has several computers on 24/7 the efficiency and reliability are a big factor. So two Hiper alternatives:

I used to have one of these, was very good: Hiper 5th Gen 770W Type-R PSU - With 4x Integrated USB Ports, 4x PCI-E, 4x SATA £84.60
Slightly cheaper and lower power: Hiper Type-R 680W 85% Efficiency PSU - 8x Integrated USB Ports £76.20

the P5K motherboards are good - theres a couple of common issues but they are a very widely used board so you shouldn't have any issue with them smile.gif

As mentioned above I'd definitely go for an 8800gt 512 than any 9600:

BFG GeForce 8800GT OC2 512MB Graphics Card. DDR3, PCI-E, Dual DVI, HDTV, TV Out, HDCP £115.06

(as an example, if you shop around you can get an 8800 for about 100. They are much more responsive to overclocking that the 9600 too)

As for the CPU I can't see how much you're looking to pay - the link is a duplicate of the gfx card one tongue.gif
But yes, Quad core q6600 certainly should be fine (although are a bit power hungry.. bringing us back round to the PSU. Also I'd def recommend decent cooling in any quadcore system.. especially combined with a powerful graphics card biggrin.gif

cheers for your opinion.

-my brothers had a couple of Hiper's but they have both broken (cant remember what happened though)
-8800 sounds like a good idea cheers for pointing that out
-as for the processor i think ill be fine for cooling as my case has a 200mm & 180mm exhaust fans and 3x 180mm intakes. from what i've read the GO stepping helps with the power consumption. But will a 620W/680W be ok??
