So can i get a little more insight into -why- exactly i got slapped with a perma ban.
I am sat bored in my office, catching up on all things SM, firing on chiv.

And find out i have been discord and server banned.

An -unnamed- SM member has told me someone was gunning for me for some time and that a couple people have been trash talking on me, I paid it no notice.
I have been told "there were several complaints against you for harassing players and admins". you can file an appeal on the server"

Exactly what was i banned for though?
Nobody i have asked seems to know.

Sorry if i upset someone feelings but i cant remember any moment for the life of me i have ever done anything to anyone, I haven't spoken to anyone except Aneki And Bucket for about a year anyway, I have been too busy buying my house and working my arse off during the Covid-fuckshow that is,
I have always spoken highly of SM community and have enjoyed being a part of it, I treat gaming and server communities just like i do a bar, If anyone has ever been upset by me in any way that would NEVER of been my intention.

The cumulative amount of reports about your behaviour and comments inside and outside the Chivalry server has forced us to take action. We can no longer tolerate the behaviour shown and we are hereby banning you following our ruleset. It's been a hard decision, but here we are.

If you are unable to see any error in your past/present actions then I am very sad for you.

We don't need to go into details because at the end of the day you know exactly why you have been banned, whether you try to appear innocent or not.

You can disagree all you like, at the end of the day it's not your clan or server anymore to make these decisions on.
Just because he was a "trusted member" does not give him a free pass to do shit.

This wasn't a decision that was taken lightly and it required agreement from all the active admins.
There is no "conspiracy theory" to underhand Steel (like we really have time for that right now lmao)

Steel has been banned due to multiple reports from multiple people over time of his behaviour towards the female players, inside and outside of the server.
This is shit that will no longer be tolerated on SM. Its as simple as that folks.

Whether you think you have done wrong or not is a matter of semantics.
And just because he is your m8 doesn't give him a free pass, same goes for absolutely anyone else who wants to do the same.

Interesting how you decided that what SteelShanks wrote is the correct version of what has happened. It is of course your choice what to believe, but don't call us "corrupt" lightly. Read this reply again, if you need to.

The other examples that you mention (without actually giving any), speak of inconsistency, not corruption. Yes, different admins will react in different ways at players breaking the rules. Normally, it's not too bad, but sometimes it could be puzzling for the players. We could try to "standardize" it, but then we would be playing "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney", not Chivalry.

If you seriously read the replies and think this, you are part of the problem with society.
This was a decision agreed by ALL ACTIVE ADMINS. That means it was a serious offence.

If you want to play on servers where harassment is allowed, play on any server but ours, as ours is the only place which is fairly moderated, where players can come to us for help.

So we received numerous complaints from independent people regarding Steelshanks' behaviour. Not some deep seated conspiracy from the clan as a whole, for example I don't know you nor really care whether you're banned or not, however given some of the discussions, screenshots in the internal clan forums it's right that you are banned.

If those involved directly wish to post evidence or screenshots publicly, I'll leave that up to them. However requests for such are typical to try and drag embarrassing things out in the open then nit-pick every sentence "oh but asking for nudes was obviously a joke- what an over reaction!" etc.,

Firstly: Hassling of people online is not acceptable in this day or age or any other irrespective of gender.

So that's that dealt with.

The other things that really strike me in this thread are the people who have no first hand knowledge of incidents vehemently jumping in on the defence. You muppets are like Lisa Bloom defending the character of Harvey Weinstein.
So instead you start calling the administration corrupt or essentially calling those people that have reported harassment liars. (always easy to shout that, but very rarely does anyone post about it without being prompted and let alone provide any form of proof other than shitposting)

So a handful of people like or are friends with a player and jump to their defence, with no actual knowledge of anything that's gone on. Bravo. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Regarding the bait of "perhaps I'll be banned next" - airplane you left following a wider ban of AofA clan. That temporary ban was put in place after your people trying to recruit on the SM server (after several warnings) and more importantly having members who were using hacks, while your "clan" persistently defended those players as being just good. Yes, your clan may have kicked them eventually (and we lifted the ban at that point) but is probably a moot point since the players in question got VAC or game banned anyway. Either way no, I'll not ban you.

@Airplane, Feanorfyndel, Fightdrug: Nice that you stand up for Steelshanks, appreciate he's popular and friendly in the server, but unfortunately you've put your allegiance in the wrong person there. While I am disappointed in the way you've thoughtlessly posted I'd not ban you in SM Chivalry or on the SM Chivalry2 servers when they come out (unless you break the rules of course).

But understand while you probably won't want to join our servers as you say, I don't really want people like you on them either.
Not banned, but also not welcome. Your posts here are just disappointing to be honest.

Finally I've leave this thread here, but closed. I'd like to think someone reading it would not think the clan has acted hastily or inappropriately. The end of the day we're here to play games and for our members to ensure they feel safe online in our servers, website, discord. In this respect I think we've provided our duty of care and if you disagree.. tough.
