So since the last update, every banner in a map gets bugged in my computer.
I tried recording a video of the issue, but as my first try ever, the thing is HUGE. Like more than 1Gb, and the audio is messed up.
I'm also having issues with fog, only letting me see like 30 metres in fornt of me. But I'll record that once I understand how to make videos that doesn't take 1GB.
(I also wnted to show how Coldfront looks at 90+ fps, but the stupid shadowplay thing doesn't let me capture higher than 60fps videos, so sorry for those who asked.)
Warning, Audio is too loud

They look like long ziplines you can use to get into the castle.
No issues for me though.
this is separate from the texture streaming problems tho. I know from stuff monkey copied to me that TB are working on that at least and have been informed of the banner bugs too but not sure if this is being worked on

The banner bug started before the low texture's one.
I'm a patient guy, I won't go arround shouting that it has to be fixed. It was an excuse to try and record a video for the first time.
Monkey also posted a temporal fix for the texture problem.

Kinda looks to be a physics problem... Have you got an Nvidia card? Maybe there is a physx type tweak out there.. something along
these lines - just guessing though

The tweak requires a second video card so depending on how much money Asder has left in his wallet, that option might be out the window.

Got this bug at the beggining of this map near the 2 spawn of agathians but since the new patch, no more things like this.

Hmm, it could actually be a physx problem. I was using different card combinations last month, maybe some physx configuration was left unchanged and the last update, for some reason, bugged.
I will check it tomorrow.
Thanks!

btw physx is actually disabled on chiv by default. You can re-enable it (I have) by ini edits. Does seem to cause the occasional crash when enabled though. havne't seen any chagnes in fps etc., Has no effect on these textures

Did load in to one of the new maps the other night for it to look like some Playstation 1 game. But tabbing out and back in seemed to jerk something in to life and it was fine.

Hi,
thanks for the message. The stretched banner problem was an issue with the map build, rather than an issue with the client computer. It made itself apparent on certain texture/shader levels (usually the higher end, if I remember correctly) and with specific video card rendering.
The bug was fixed in a patch from Torn Banner though, so should no longer be occurring.

Still happening from dead corpses times to times.

Well, I never had the banner issue, but a few weeks ago the bug appeared and is till there for me.
