Full Version: Kick and IP ban

Hello,

I'm a new player to Chivalry and been playing quite a lot over the last couple of days and occasionally on your 50 man server. I'm a decent team player and very careful not to TK (although it does happen accidentally from time to time)

However, tonight I was kicked and IP banned from your server with no warning and no reason, Ironically this came right after a game where I had been top player of my team for the first time ever. I'd appreciate a at least a reason as to why I had been banned although I cannot legitimately see there will be one, as like I said my team play is always in good spirit of the game.

I've used my in game name as my forum name to simplify things, also the ban took place 10 or so minutes before I posted.

It seem I was IP banned from the session, I am now allowed back in.

If the kick was to make room for an admin or clan member etc, I totally understand, however it would be nice to be notified of why don't you think?

Hi,

When kicked I believe it stops you returning to the server within 5 minutes - you're definitely not on the temp ban or perma bans list.

I'll have a look into the logs to see why you were kicked. Was it defintely an admin kick and not a kickvote?

p.s. when kicking by console we can specify a reason such as making space. When kicking via the scoreboard when logged in as admin, it still doesn't give us the option to specifiy a reason there, so we would have to rely on typing out a message in chat

It said admin kick, i've been kicked voted once before (by getting tricked into team damage at game start) and it didn't say admin kick. This time was definitely admin kick, no reason. However at the time I was very far forward on my own with lots of opposing players around, so I wasn't paying any attention to the chat or votes.

No harm done, I was a little incensed when I thought I was banned for no reason. But seeing as that's not the case I'm ok with it.

Thanks for the reply.
