I've posted this elsewhere (on the EA forums) but thought I'd repeat it here.

Although you can add servers you've vistited recently to favourites, finding the server intially can be a problem (sorting through 1000's of other servers)

am hoping they'll arrange a connect by IP like in BF2...

In the meantime, a workaround is to add it to favourites - open "my documents" go to "BFBC2" folder and open (in notepad) the file "gamesettings.ini" (you might want to make a backup)

Near the bottom is a section called "FavoriteGames" - it might be set to FavoriteGames=Empty if you haven't played online

You can add a server by name here, for example:

FavoriteGames=Multiplay.co.uk : SneakyMonkeys.com;

You can add multiple servers here separated by ;

according to ingame server browser, just next to the name of a server there is a button you can press to add2faves/join/get info on any server

however it didnt work for me this morning :/

maybe it will work soon

i had this in my RecentGames variable, copy and pasted it to FavoriteGames:

FavoriteGames=2085421047,721ee57f-79d3-4573-9a64-333c6da5c616,Multiplay.co.uk : SneakyMonkeys.com;

actually, on loading the game up althought it added it to the favs list it didnt let me connect, but would after i removed it.... any ideas?

hmm looks like they've hashed something in there, whcih is different from the copy I've been playing on :S

Has anyone figured out how to add a server to favorites. I somehow got the CQ server into my favorites but i've yet to be able to get the Rush and DM server into my Fav's

i look up the server and then click the black arrow thingy and select add to favorites. that has worked for me so far

it never used to work for me, but when i searched "SneakyMonkeys" (capitalised like that) in the server browser the other day, all of our servers appeared and added them one after the other with no problems...

I tried to add them via that black drop down arrow and it keeps saying waiting for data for about 10 mins then stop but it never shows up. I don't know if it matter i have windows 7 64 bt

yeah, fraid thats a common bug, not operating system related.

It's probably happened to most of us at one point or another, then one day you can try and add the servers and they'll all add straight away..

btw my gamesettings.ini (in the my documents/bfbc2 folder) has these lines near the bottom:
