Some things to try regarding bioshock freezing...

1. In graphics options, try turning anti-aliasing down or off (renable if doesn't work)

2. Create an offline profile:

. At the main game menu press "home" key on keyboard, windows live pops down.
. Click "create new profile, Then click "create offline profile"
. Name
. press "home" key to exit windows live and your done.

3. Unplug keybaord and plug it into to a different USB port

4. Rename: C:\Users\*Username*\Documents\Bioshock2 (don't forget to rename it back if this doesn't work)

5. Colour Depth: Go to display (right click on desktop and properties) then change the colour mode from 16-bit to 32-bit (if it's not already)

6. Try setting the game in DX9: Go to Games -> Bioshock 2 -> Right click -> Launch in DX9 mode.

7. Try running in windows 2000 compatability mode: Find Bioshock2.exe, Right Click, Properties, Compatibility Mode ->Windows 2000, OK.

8. Uninstall Bioshmuck and install Bad company 2... you know you want it!

Eee, that's a lot of thought you've put into this ^^

Hmm, went to try the first step.... and it's working. God knows why, I hadn't actually done anything, but BS 1+2 seem to be working.
I'm sure it'll start breaking again, but for now it seems fine!

am thinking it was either the games for windows update or the directx update last night that fixed it, but needed a restart to take effect
