Okies peeps here's a chance for you to regale us with stories of how you got the name you currently use

since i'm the topic starter then i guess i'll have to 'fess up

In-game name :- K.
OK its actually not the most obvious of suggestions as K. is also the first initial of my RL name Kevin
actually it stems from my first online name from a good few years back when i first started playing games online, which was in fact Tiberian Sun on the PC
i used the moniker "Undakill" as i loved using the sneak attack as the NOD utilizing a tunneling transport a few engies and a cyborg commando, later on i felt having the word Kill in my name was a bit aggressive and childish, but since i liked the word so much i shortened it to "UDK" this lasted a good while into my Hl2dm days, and has since became further streamlined into a inconspicuous "K."
ah so there u have it, pretty boring eh

The oldest reference I could find to MonkeyFiend was back in 1996 - origianlly it started out as Flying^Monkey^Fiend, seemingly then used more when I started playing UT in '98, was then shortened to monkeyfiend due to not always fitting in games/websites... sadly is too long ago for me to remember why I started using that name, probably some reference to the flying monkeys in the wizard of oz, but don't know. I'll assume I was too off my face to remember

Have we not done this before.
Hypoboxer and Bucksatan are two names I have had for umptine years. They are both alter egos of Al Jorgenson from Ministry and the Revolting Cocks.
Also used Fink. He was a character in a 2000ad comic (mad brothers in Judge Dread, Mean Machine, Junior ,Paw and Fink)
I also used to use ODDBOB. I watched a program about a guy that went crazy in the work place in America and shot the place up. Everyone used to call him ODDBOB. Kind of liked it.
Cobolt

In my early days of UT2003 I was Killer_Machine XD
I became Cobolt after misreading a bots name in UT2003 (Cobalt oddly enough) and have been it ever since.

=R6= Raile

errr I think this name Raile was first used when I was playing MUD's (multi user dungeons.. the text based MMORPG's before teh internet) and running my clan, Triad. Just kind of randomly made up for one of my characters. Made a good name for ourselves and my character so started using it for some other things.. then when I started playing Dark Age of Camelot and a year in to my 3 years of playing that game, re-started Triad and re-made a Raile character. Made a good name for ourselves on that too and have since stuck with the name for pretty much everything now..

My Dad won an Atari 2600 and a copy of space invaders when it first came out (long time ago, might even have been late 70s early 80s). I used to listen to an old compliation album on loop on his stereo and play Invaders for hours. And thus the addiction began. ZX81, Spectrum, Spectrum 128k,(piracy was excellent in those days, 30 games on a c90 tape) Apple, Commodore 64, Amiga and then PC from the early 90s (first PC cost £1500 and was less powerful than my phone is now). Didnt own another console until last year when I picked up a 360.

what did you go to jail for (if you dont mind me asking)? I though it'd be ok as you seem to speak quite openly about it.
