Hi Guys,
playing for a long time in your servers and still loves them but wasn't any ping limit some weeks ago? Cause it seems it has been removed, and now we can see players with 400/500 + that's really annoying... can you do something and maybe limit to 150 max? thank you |

Hey
The ping limit in the configs has never actually worked on any chivalry server (amusingly the official servers with a ping limit don't actually have it working either  )What we have is a custom made admin plugin that kicks for repeated high ping, however because of the way rcon works in chivalry, the plugin often crashes. Recently the plugin was disabled as there was a routing issue that caused everyone's pings to spike; it has been turned back on now, however for the reasons above it may be somewhat intermittent. btw it's usually set to around 200-230ms because often after playing on hillside/citadel for a while, everyone's pings spike up this high and at 150 we'd end up kicking the entire server

Should we maybe consider changing the setting? or is there anyway to allow a certain amount of total ping in the server then start culling highest ping player first?

The latest patch claims to have fixed the ping limit in the configs, so we'll see what that does
