I was curious to know how many of you are Diablo fans. I have it on good authority that Diablo III "should" be released November of this year. I know we can't really trust Blizzard to stay true to their dates, but as of right now, it looks like this date MAY be it. Several places around here have started taking pre-orders for the game and have let it slip that they'll have it in by Nov. If there are enough of us into the game, what would you guys think about getting a clan server for it? Just wondering what everyone thought about this.

I have never played Diablo 1 or 2 so I will have no opinion I'm afraid.
Does it involve beards in any shape or form? |

I've never played them either but I DO plan on getting Diablo III. Lots of people I know will be playing and I want to join the crowd. As far as beards go, I have no clue. lol

I'll most likely be playing diablo 3, however it really is not a clan game. Unless things are very different from diablo 1 and 2 (from what I've read, it should be the same), then you can only play 4 people at one time. Also you don't need a clan server as the whole thing runs through battle.net (in fact, if it's at all like blizzard's other game to come out this year, starcraft 2, you CANT play it multiplayer other than on battle.net)
also, much like lotro, its a game of leveling up. this means people playing different amounts, can't really play together as they will never be close enough in level.... again, this makes it tough to play regularily with your friends or clan (well, there are ways around this but most people are impatient fuckards) |

I think I've played a diablo game a long time ago but can't really remember it. As to buying it or not I usually do this based on what I hear the game to be like regardless of previous iterations (a few exceptions like BC2, but I often get bitten in the ass with these)
Dunno.. it might be fun to have a go. I hadn't planned on buying it, but if people do and it turns out to be good then I will. Reading Railes comment pretty much makes the whole server discussion moot -------------------- |

I will be jumping on the Diablo 3 bandwagon when it comes.
Diablo 1 & 2 , were pretty epic in their day. i am also pretty sure one or both are now abandonware and freely available to have a shot at if your bored. also , torchlight is kind of the spiritual successor/side project to the diablo series and is relatively cheap on steam if you are bored and have some money to spare. |

might check out 1&2 then to see if it jogs the memory (unlikely).
