As I've had a headache and not felt like playing, I've instead uploaded a replacement for the tank music.
Someone requested this - although now I can't remember who The theme from the Benny Hill show (on youtube in case you don't know it: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Gpc5_3B5xdk&...feature=related) It's available to download (with instructions) on http://sneakymonkeys.com/l4d/bennyhill.rar (it 7.5mb - the size is due to the stupid bit-rate the game music uses and can't be made smaller/converted) Cheers, MonkeyFiend P.S. My tank music is the can can from orpheus in the underworld: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=swmR_cPrHvY (if anyone wants this let me know) -------------------- |

I believe it's a fixed bit-rate of 44100khz (CD quality) hence the unreasonable filesize
The game is hardcoded to play all files at this bitrate, so if you have a file with a different bitrate it will play faster or slower (usually much faster) -------------------- |

oh yes
The cynical part of me has long believed game manufacturers over inflate certain content such as music/video to make it a pain to chug along piratebay etc., -------------------- |

allthough your probably right to some degree, im sure the die hard audio fanboys would throw a hissy fit if any other audio compression was used.
i mean, how the hell else could they get there maximum quality sound if something as generically shite as mp3 or wma was used... anyway, wav supports multichannel 5.1 etc unlike most other formats. unless you go into dd or dts.. but that IS overkill. -------------------- |
