nice, but I think it would look more realistic if the buildings were not multi coloured and had windows, doors etc. So they are user friendly

good luck creating the textures for the buildings.
you'd have to screen cap them in game, then flatten them out. tons o work. can't think of an easier way to do it. i had to do that in uni for my showreel when i had a bit of a 3d city bit. of course as soon as you have textures on there it will look infinitely better. |

yes, completly untextured, will do that at the end
half of the reason im doing this actually is to get my texturing skills up a level as far as screen capping each one, heh no. ill do my own textures from scratch, complete with my personal touch. but of course ive gotta finish modelling it yet ;p -------------------- |

right if your trying to get better at doing textures then i guess doing your own would be the best way
of course your own textures will make it not look like karkand.. |

of course it CAN look like it..
but I have strong feelings towards you not putting enough effort in to doing that I ask again, what method to making the textures? |

i dont really no what kind of answer your after, didnt no there were different names for texturing styles...
can tell you itll be mainly photoshop/bitmaps for buildings, grass/ground most liekly done in max, with the exception of cobbles/brick roads etc who knows until i actually do it tho -------------------- |
