Reckon it could be done at at say £350 not including monitor? Just want a stable yet running bf2 well. anyways hope all clan members are well! custom PC magazine did an article of the perfect gaming PC for £447. This was from april so you may want to swap and change hardware to keep it up to date.
Heres what they suggested: Case- Cooler Master RC-330 V2 PSU- 500W FSP Blue Storm II Mobo- Gigabyte GA-P1-DS3L Processor- 1.6GHZ Intel E2140 RAM- 2GB Corsair TwinXXMS2 HSF- Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro G card- 256mb XFX 8800GT OS- Vista home premium So as a basis id say thats pretty good but id get a better processor such as E7200 (which i have) overclocks like a beast. and graphics card you may consider getting a 512mb 8800GT (which I have also but the overclocked version). Not to lower the tone with the whole overclocking, but I'm pretty sure that (the douche bag that is) Rob has no intention of overclocking.
My second point to Rob is that a PC that can run BF2 may not be able to handle a new 2d version of lemmings by today's standards, you want to start thinking about getting a machine that is capable of supporting DX10 I'd be happy to help you build a computer though Rob, as long as you help me build a fort out of all the boxes at work! -------------------- There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary and those who don't |
