Basically belmez after agatha have put the two flags on the two towers and the spawns go forward. This mason archer decides to stay behind lines and fire at our spawn for quite a while.
yep General Tanz. He does this all the time when he goes archer. Heres some screenshots. Yeah hes probably bored of chiv and this makes it fun for him but im pretty sure he is well aware of the rules but ignores anyway. |

hrmm not exactly sure what you need to investigate....as its pretty clear. never mind i think i understand now how the "rules" work..... have fun. I'll issue a ban of a week or two for this. General tanz is already on a watchlist. The "rules" around here work in so much as we don't take the word of random people on the internet as definitive proof. There's plenty of occasions where screenshots can be misrepresented. Hence why we do take time to check server login times and recordings of matches You seem to have jumped to the wrong conclusion there, suggesting that there's favoritism or special treatment. There isn't. But it does make you come across as a bit of dickhead by implying it. -------------------- |

Spawn kill is unfair, i know that. But...., dear KANE, some problems here in Chivalry should be solved with the weapon not by crying for admins. An archer that kill you in spawn is annoying, but you could get him, by using a crossbow or other weapon. Sometimer you can avoid his arrows by beeing faster away from the spawn point.....
The french knight at Azincourt whould have been happy if they had an admin, but they had only their weapons and their anger. |

There is certain point with Kane from my point of view into this by experience (don't know that was it actually you or that kid you keep mentionin to us who use your account): It was Stonehills map and I as Mason, it was wasn't much more than one second when I received headshot by heavy crossbow from your account after I spawned.

Greatings surprise_FIN,
thanks for your report, but..., whats the problem? You received a heat shot with the crossbow in your head, all right, spawn again and try to avoid, play the game. I dont play archer, it was the "General Tanz(young blood). I read the rules, i didnt find spawn killing with arrows in the list. In the meantime...., the problem should be solved by weapon not by admins call. |

In the meantime...., the problem should be solved by weapon not by admins call. There are many map bugs in Chivalry. Since we can't fix them, we can only warn and then punish players, who exploit them. For example, when Agatha capture the wall in Belmez, the spawns are moved forward. However, players aren't automatically respawned, so some stay behind and attack Agatha from relative safety. These are mostly archers or flame-throwing MAAs. Similar thing can happen in Hillside, but the difference is, that Agathians can reach them on foot, while in Belmez, they can't. That's why we consider the former an exploit, while the latter -- not. Hiding in rocks or similar places are also considered exploits and are not allowed. Also, the server runs with limited slots for archers and most of the time they are all taken. So normally you can't just switch to one and fight back. |

Dear Sir Robin,
with interest i read your statement. I agree with you, but only two points i would note: "relative safety", "hiding". I think we agree that archers have a different style to play than knights or vanguards, or man at arms. Archers have no armour, not great swords or shields..., they have their arrows. And attacks from behind lead to greater damages, the shooter should be hidden and in safety. Success can sometimes only be achieved with unfair means; but one is now being punished for unfairness? Than you can ban a lot of people. Even in Arthur Millers "Dead of a salesman" the brother of the salesman said: "First rule of survival in the yungle, never fight fair with an unknown man." A good archer plays like a sniper, hit in the head and game over. I think brother KANE was a little annoyed because he did not get the archer and instead of seeking a solution in the fight he calls for admin assist. Spawn killing is unfair, but an attack with the great sword from behind against an archer is unfair too. I am convinced, if KANE had the opportunity to attack the archer from behind with his "Zweihänder", he would have served this unfair method too. He was incapable of doing so, and in my eyes disability should not be rewarded. Here it does not matter, that the archer was above and inaccessible, that was the performance of the shooter. Like soldiers who get behind the enemy lines and attack them. Sincerely, General Tanz |

I was talking about unfair advantage, where the archer is unreachable by the opposite team. Normally this is only possible when they stay at or near their own spawn. It's not a matter of skill in finding a good spot, it's a matter of exploiting map bugs for this.
In any case I have explained that to Justinian already, so he should be well aware of what not to. |

From my perspective it was like i did all the groundwork and i was getting fobbed off. I also had video. So if it was a matter of evidence you only needed to ask. But nevermind. And about me calling it out its called the douchebag manouevre. I suffer the rep loss deliberately |
