To whom may concern,
I love this server and appreciate operator effort to open a free fantastic server for everyone. I am really pleased and happy whenever I played in this server. However, today around 18:30- 18:40 p.m (London), 27/11/2016. When I was playing in your server and chatting with my friend in my mother tongue. I was kicked by admin MARSCHE ( He changed his inname game to GOD during this game) because I did not speak ENGLISH. I dont know and believe that we have such a rule in server, and we even has a racism topic posted by monkeyfiend. So If we have that rule, please confirm for me. If not, I think that is an extremely racist action by MARSCHE. Please tell me that does he has privilege to kick everyone dont speak ENGLISH ???? I know that this is a big server and it wont be affected whether it has players in my countries, we sadly have to quit playing here if it is true that we cant speak our own language when we playing game (it is racist for me). But anyway, I hope to receive my answer for this issue. Thank you so much P/s: English is not my first language so it may has some mistakes in my post. Thanks -------------------- Meowww

To shed some light on this from our side: when you speak any other language than English, we can't determine what you're saying. Occasionally the admin will actually be from the same country, but usually it means that players can say whatever they want to, not seldom resulting in cursing, racist slurs and other non-do-goodery. It's not that we're trying to single out non-english speakers, but not doing it means risking ruining the experience for other people who do happen to speak that language. Because the internet is a crappy place overall and we like to be a little island of tranquility, in cases like this we often pick the option that improves the vibe of the server. It may not seem or even be fair to everyone, but we dislike the other option even more.
If Marsche has another or an additional reaction, he'll post it when he looks here |

Thank for your reply Turbo,
Here is some further information about our conversation. My friend cant speak English and the only way we can communicate is in our own language. While we was chatting, a player name GOD kept repeating that speak ENGLISH ONLY, and 3 minutes later I and my friend were kicked with a short announcement wrote "ENGLISH". After that, I came back to game and ask the reason I was kicked. And GOD said that because I didnt speak English ??. I switched to Steam and check his Steam name, and found that he is MARSCHE. Now I know that he is an admin. So I asked him so that is your rule or server rule, and have no response from him after that. I dont want to make this issue goes far, cause I really love this server like I said. But First of all, MARSCHE didnt have any -SM- TAG before his name, and he even changed name to GOD. Secondly, how can you speak English with your friend who dont know ENGLISH. So this just makes me feel frustrated. Thank you. -------------------- Meowww

We have a teamspeak server in case you want to use mics. You can both enter a room just for yourselves and speak in your language.
You can also use Steam chat instead of the game chat. |

Exactly, I don't understand why you continued to do so even after you got warned/kicked. And calling this an extreme racist action is just flat out laughable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbvYeLxMKN8 -------------------- |

Hey Doreanh and thank you for visiting our forums.
The reason to why I kicked you was because despite my warnings in chat about keeping it in english, you still kept on writing in another language, ignoring my warnings. You got kicked with a warning, joined the server and changed to writing in english. That's the good part. The not-so-good part is your rant about our server and me being racist. I take these claims very seriously. Since you were fueled by rage in your triggered state, I take it you couldn't notice the germans that joined in on the fun, and the french. They all got warnings, some got kicked. I'm such a racist for keeping the chat in a neutral language that 99% of the players understand, where no-one can abuse/grief our limited knowledge about unfamiliar letter combinations. You're more than welcome to keep playing on our servers, but if you ever state something so childish without any ground to stand on again, People tend to report suspicious activity such as hacking on the server, hence why I changed to a undercover nickname without a tag. |

Thats interesting because i see all the time regular players on the server speaking in other languages (german, french, spanish) and that includes admins as well. None of them are kicked or even warned or anything. I think consistency in the rules would be nice. Bit harsh way to treat the OP. |

Well, i'm one of these regulars Kane is talking about, and i think he's got a point there . If the server goes for the "only english in chat " rule it might be useful to specify that in the server rules section, otherwise that subject can be a bit confusing.
(Dont get me wrong, even when i like to talk in spanish to other spanish players i accept the "our server - our rules" politic, so all fine by me ) -------------------- |

I think there's a difference between exchanging a couple of lines now and then and a full-blown conversation between several people for 15 minutes. I've absolutely nothing against the former, please let's be reasonable here guys.
Especially when it's just two players - why couldn't you possible just talk on Steam chat? The way I see this is that it's bad manners to exclude people from a conversation when you're together either in real life or in-game, if you and your friend were fathers and you had another childless friend with you and you kept talking about having a child all the time then I think you're dicks. But a short dialogue - why not. -------------------- |
