Ban Appeal - Monarch Options

My side of the story: Trolled by Mason Knight "Unicorn_J" I was another mason knight in the map Outpost, I was defending the Mason Chieftain next to spawn and he came over and started attacking the mason chieftain, after about 6 stabs I kicked him away, he didn't stop so I started attacking him, he started running away and I let him run, I went back to defending the chieftain, he came again and started attacking it again around 6 times, 4 other people started hitting him and he started running, I chased him down and killed him then I got a message "Int TK", I got banned. It seems he was writing in chat to admins that Im "intentionally teamkilling him" and the admins believed that, please next time don't ban until you check what's going on, my ban was unjustified I was simply doing what im supposed to do - defend the chieftains and he was trying to kill them/slow down their health regeneration, am I supposed to sit there and watch him troll my entire team, no idea who the admin was that banned me, and I wouldn't mind apologizing if it was my fault, but it really isn't, and there is nothing to apologize about from my part.

Yes, you're supposed to sit there. Just because someone jumped off a bridge onto your grandmother, doesn't mean you should jump off a bridge on his.

As for what you did, you still teamkilled a teammate, you did it intentionally and thus you got banned. It's up to the banning admin whether to unban you, but without an apology (and a proper understanding of why you were banned in the first place) your chances are slim.

From what I understand with what you wrote, for me to be the perfect player I'll simply watch the guy prevent the mason chieftain from regaining health and possibly killing him in the process, while he tries to lure people into attacking him and getting them banned on the process - because he is definetly trolling, if that's fine with you then I'm honestly unsure what to think right now, you would have people trying to lure newbies and regular players along trying to bait them into getting banned that way?

I got baited and banned, it was literally a lure, and so did the admin who banned me, he got trolled by the guy as well for believing him.

You don't have to victimize a victim even more.

I did ban you.No player wrote intentionally killing about you because it happened in front of me.As admins we are not banning players someone said so.We are banning players when we saw their actions which against the rules.

There is no reason - not a single reason- that you need to attack and kill team members.If someone did intentionally kill you , you have to report admins who are online or gather evidence , screenshot or video (i prefer video) and send it to this forum.

----Also if i am not mistaken , if chieftain attacked by its own team , there is no damage added on chieftain.-----

+plus ; who attacked you back got banned as well like you and it wasn't name Unicorn_Jedi , it was something else.Maybe Unicorn Jedi started to troll chain but i did put ban what i saw.So Unicorn_jedi wasn't there at that moment , it was something else and you.

Before doing some conversation , please calm down. I played this game enough to not get troll by any player.i haver over 600 hours recorded and it is counting.It is not my 1st game on multiplayer area and it is not my 1st administrator position.
We are not enjoying banning people here.We have 2 simple rules "dont do intentionally teamkill/damage and , do not do any racism "

Simply you broke one of the 2 rules.You did do intentionally teamkill and you did accept that.What is the problem now ?

You're not a victim. You intentionally teamkilled, which is against the rules and you got banned for it. The context does not matter with this rule. If it's intentional, it's bannable.

As for the guy attacking his own chieftains, the admin should've dealt with him as well and hopefully did so. However, we also assume most people are mature enough to see he's baiting and can ignore him. If you didn't ignore him, that's your fault, not his and you should own up to the responsibility instead of trying to avoid it.

Edit: Porsuk already answered and he did indeed ban the other guy as well. Should you have any questions, feel free to ask them.

You might want to keep an eye on Unicorn_J and don't be trigger happy with your bans until you look more carefully, I understand you probably saw me during the part where I killed Unicorn_J but I already explained my side of the story.

But replying anymore is unlikely to be fruitful, i'll check if I can connect in two days, and from now on i'll just go for the kills for the enemy team instead of actually trying to protect objectives like chieftains because stuff like that can get you banned now.

Also I didn't know chieftains don't take damage from teammates, but dosen't it still slow their health regen?

Its not his fault for intentionally trolling and trying to bait people into getting banned, how is that not his fault?

I understand you are trying hard to be "right" but honestly, you are making no sense trying to enforce your view on this subject is just starting to sound repressive, especially since you said the "admin" should've banned the guy baiting but also "its not his fault" so why would he get banned - if it isn't his fault?

Its hard to follow up with you when you change your stance on this subject within a single phrase.

Own up to the responsability I got baited into being banned, what responsability is there from that? it was a bait, I fell for it and got banned as a result, there is nothing to be responsible about, I got banned because I got baited, the troll got what he wanted.

Obligatory edit: I think you mean I need to be responsible about the intentional TK part, Yes I intentionally killed him because he was attacking the chieftains like I wrote a few posts ago, I'm responsible for killing him, however think of it was self-defense, you can't imprison someone who is defending himself, or someone else from assault.

Take a defenseless Mason Chieftain for example I saw him being assaulted and tried to save him from the assaulter - do I get prosecuted and imprisoned for doing the right thing here?
As I said I let him go but he was a persistant troll and I didn't know mason chieftains don't take damage from teammates, also slow down their health regen.

My bad for actually caring about the objective during that map - as I said I should stop caring about the objectives and simply focus on killing the enemy team from now on.

I am indeed sorry you got baited, but rules are rules and we enforce them justly. One of the reasons for our zero tolerance policy is that we often face a situation where it is basically one player's word against another player's word. We are here mainly to play the game, not investigate (and we do not really have means to do that anyway) who started the fight. Hence, we expect players to either start a vote when a situation like yours occurs or report to any admin online at the moment.

You seem like a level-headed fellow, so please try to understand our point of view here and why we are so strict when it comes to rules.

With that being said I wish you all the best, see you in-game.

You teamkilled, not the other guy. You made the decision to attack and you're facing the consequenses of it. Don't try to blame it on the other guy because it was not him who pushed the button.

However, this issue is resolved, so I'm done with this discussion. I don't see it coming to anything fruitful so I'm not going to bother.

I understand what you mean, I adiminister a few servers in Warband myself and have ran into similiar issues.
Either way I understand why the admin banned me because he saw me team killing and that's all he got from that most admins would do the same as the admin who banned me and I honestly would probably have done the same if I was an admin (since he/she didn't have the chance to see the troll bait) > However I would've unbanned instantly after seeing this ban appeal.

I do understand your point of view, and the admin who banned me point of view, I made a ban appeal to try to clear up the confusion, however one person simply trying to enforce his views on this subject when I know what is true is simply not gonna happen I'm not gonna surrender myself to bolster his ego.

All in all, thank you for being understanding, I can tell you are quite level-headed yourself and a great asset to the team from the way you write.

Lets all go on our way, @Porsuk if you insist on a 6 day ban then so be it, its your decision after all, and in the end its just a game.
