Ok, so I have made my underwater glass abode in Venusia. Opinions required on the Bioshock-esque entrance tower in the middle of the lake. Ideally I would like it to be double the height of that shown in the picture, but obviously its up to you guys whether we want something like this in venusia.

im not trying to be insensitive, but i thought the whole part of protected areas was that to build anything you had to ask first, it looks like you already started this project.

I discussed the underwater portion with Aki before I started, hell he helped me with most of it, and the underwater portion on its own is difficult to see unless youre looking for it.
Also worth noting its difficult to visualise a glass tower in a lake without seeing it, and it wont exactly be difficult for me to remove it. -------------------- |

maybe in the texture pack that you are using, but you have to remember that we all use different texture packs. so glass is obtrusive in some

In your texture pack it doesn't look too bad as its wood framed. Mine just shows a load of lead piping

i know what u mean thorn, but i suppose i could say the same for my area, if we had cam across that mountain where i have been "developing" with my orchard's glass castle and infinite waterfall
it also could have been considered for protection also i know what u mean about texture packs, i'll wager there is a incredibly obscure whacked out pack that might make leborns watchtower more appealing ^^ -------------------- WIP...

my point is that venusia is a protected area, under the forum rules you have to apply for planning permission for any building, however obtrusive or unobtrusive they may be. if we dont abide by the rules whats the point of having them?

Modified poll to allow a "remove everything" option for those that want it.

One prob with modifying a poll is that some people whom felt strong enough to vote will not be able to select the new option. It may be that if u created a new vote those 5 people would vote to have the structure removed in its entireity but have already committed to merely halting further expansions
In this case I belive the vote should have been created by a neutral ie aki -------------------- WIP...

due to the encrypted nature of the poll system (which I can't undo, nor can I change votes once cast) the only way to fix that is a new poll
