what do you get for completing these?
googling turns up a lot of answers on how to complete them, but much less on what you get. Individual rewards like a piece of armor, etc for completing a chapter, but do you get some kind of reward for finishing them all? |

The rewards on the epic quests are quite a bit better than the rewards on the general quests of the same level. For completing all quests in Book 1 (shadows of angmar) you get the nice grey (white looking) horse. The horse is same speed as other normal or rep mounts, but has slightly higher health, meaning you don't get dismounted quite as easily as the basic mount. Can remember what the other epic volume rewards are.

are they all something along those lines?
what I don't want, is some armor that was probably great if I had done them on level, but now that those quests are somewhere between 10 and 20 levels ago, the armor will be useless... I just don't want to grind through all those chapters only to get stuff I just pawn at the merchant. |

my honest advice would be to do them - the epics always have better rewards, better story and give you more XP. Generally trying to do them when they are still orange to you is the best bets... can be quite tricky, but they are supposed to be 'epic' after all
There is armour rewards etc., so some may not be much use or more use cosmetically if you're well past level. -------------------- |

yeah, the problem is that atleast 2/3 of them are well past level.. that's why I'm wondering if it's worth going back and doing them.. cheers for the info monkey

the epics run from around level 10 up to 65... so the longer you leave the epics, the greater the difference will be if/when you eventually go back to redo them. (since you cant just do the 65 epics when you eventually reach level 65)

Oi Oi people,
Doing the epic quests are also a good way to grind some deeds which might be hard to do when you are at the base level of these quests due to that bonus thing you get which gives you uber health and power. Especially useful in Trollshaws when you have to find the missing nazgul and you can just kill each troll which gives you 400xp each kill (depending on level) and get yourself halfway through the deed at the same time. |
