Set Me Straight With A PoleHammer, Plunder Bunnies Options

Greetings all,
I have been a longtime lurker on Sneaky Monkeys, donated on occasion too. But due to over commitments to another gaming community have never bothered to socialize on the forums, I only ever voted. I know some of you know me, Some of you probably hate my feinting. However i thought i would say hello and ask a couple of questions regarding your servers as i recently discovered something i don't like very much and didn't believe was going on involving some of the SM admins on the chivalry server. Both friends and i frequently use your servers as they are nothing short of the best we find, However there seems to be an ever increasing number of random kicks being put down, Usually i wouldn't believe anyone when they told me that they were kicked from a round unfairly, That includes some of the other long time players, Which is both annoying when you have to wait to get a place back. But tonight i feel that i experienced this myself. While i will not name/shame anyone personally as its not something i found ever did any good. I have never had any problem with the server or admins in all the time i have played on there, Except Sneeky because he kicks me into rivers, At 19:40 10/10/2014 I was kicked for -annoying- behavior, With a claim that i was warned several times, Utterly shocked at this as i neither team kill/troll/block or do anything otherwise unacceptable i looked back through my Over wolf and found no such thing had occurred. After asking politely why i was kicked, I was given nothing short of a vague excuse and a reference to the SM house party rule. While we will always respect the server and its admin, I think that being clear to your players is only fair isnt it? Both in game and out?, You warn me about something, I will -always- listen, While i can appreciate a admin might be click happy when they are in a bad mood or feel someone has broken a rule (Two have admitted this to me themselves ^^). An explanation would be polite. I frequently role play in game for a laugh with friends and have never had anyone take issue with this, I have seen SM members take part time and time again for some comical fun. However on this occasion i was asked to tone it down and i did. Could someone please look back through the log and send me a message to explain why i was kicked? As far as i was aware a SM admin were not given the power to kick someone just because they personally found them -annoying- ... Or were they? If so, Ill have to rethink the way i play the game next time i kick Porsuk into a river.

Don't try to hide or sugarcoat it with "roleplaying".

After that, you behaviour was to be entitled to your rights to have fun your way, disregarding the admins.

This stinks of hypocrisy and you -know- it, I have seen plenty of SM members and regular players make jesting comments in regards to pillaging and raping as Masons, I have seen a SM member threatening to f*** me with club if i failed to hit someone with a catapult and more, Nobody ever took it so seriously then, It was frequently funny, So why now? Everyone knows i would never tell an Admin to shut up or make him by bitch, Anyone who plays SM knows i would only ever apologise and try to make light of anything i could ever do wrong. I was told to tone it down and i -did-. As for Turbo never engaging in anything, i know otherwise, He has been quite happy to lol around with Farmer kicking anyone who tries to attack him in the balls, Sure maybe everyone considers Farmer a exception, I probably do too. But the principle is the same. The Kick was unnecessary and weak, As i stated before, Are we going to see everyone get the same when they do something just Turbo doesn't like? After getting a few messages today i'm getting the impression this isn't the first time there has been issues with regards to a Admin beating down on players recently, I cant say i have ever experienced or seen anyone abusing the powers they have as much as people claim. But maybe being a little less vague wouldn't do any harm for some of the Admins to your regular players and their friends.

Fact remains, the majority of SM Admin do a straight up task of keeping the server clean of mischief makers, And ill keep donating playing on SM. But beware the effect click happy kicking/banning could have on people. I know im not the only one with a sour taste in his mouth recently. I now have to drive four hundred miles to pick up Millies cat

I have no issue with you Stormcrow, and everytime I see you saying "Hello", I happily reply to welcome you. But I'm kind of confused about your main argument (being vague). Maybe it's because English isn't my native language, but for me and after reading everything (sorry, it's a public thread, you chose to post here instead of sending a PM to monkeyFiend as it is stated in the MotD) everything looks clear to me.

I also go like "what the fuck man ?" whenever I see someone using rape comments and stuff like that. Never complained about it, but I find that out of place, too extreme for a game supposed to be fun. I agree with the guy who said it creates a bad atmosphere. Maybe you should consider that some people don't think it's funny. Everyone may have an opinion and just because you think its funny don't give you the right to say it is actually funny and the ones who don't like it can't get jokes or understand roleplaying.

You know, I got permabanned after 200+ hours on Limited Archer (it was lifted after few hours) for one single intentionnal hit to a full health ally. What did I do ? Complaining on the forums because I see people TK two allies on purpose and only get a kind warning ? No. I apologized. Maybe being a bit humble and get over this without overracting (it was just a kick, why making such a public scandal ?) would just make things better and help keeping it clean. Admins are judges and may take a decision that isnt defined in the rules if THEY think (not you) it's justified. That is even stated in the official Torn Banner rules.

But that's just my opinion, as you have yours. Please, just try to understand other's opinions.
