I decided to post this in public rather than clan only as he's likely to turn up here protesting innocence. I've issued a 24 hour for blood dragon. I initially warned him for making several kick votes on players with 0% team damage and no idle time. I asked him to provide reasons if making a kick vote otherwise I would add a ban for vote abuse. After spectating him (and removing a few players who were tking for the cata) I spectated him attacking at least 4 players on his own team. As such I've issued a 24 hour ban. I will say that if he returns to the server and makes a vote without a reason I'm going to kick him. If I see him damaging teammates intentionally then I'm going to change it to a permanent ban. I wouldn't normally ask players to provide reasons for kickvotes, but the shear number of votes that seem to have no merit forces me to do it. thanks, Jen screenshots and recorded video of above available, if you guys want it -------------------- |

Farmer and RyanUK have been on the server a long long time. In fact ryanuk appeared on the first day we created a server
They are a little odd, not talking and fighting in... unconventional ways however this is essentially their choice, since they're not breaking rules. The argument that the slot could better be utilised by someone playing TO is debateable, since for example ryan often scores highly, so technically even using fists he's still probably more dangerous than half of the new recruits to the game Unless we decide to ban fists (which I doubt would happen) then ryan UK primarily using fists would be fine. He's actually pretty handy (!) with them too Blood dragon however is not just playing unconventionally, I had a look at the match in question and aside from the usual amount of blooddragon chat garbage spewed, he was votekicking without any reason and kicking teammates. In actuality, Jenny gave a 24 hour ban after already stopping a kickvote on him to warn him that he'd get a ban if continued to be an arse. If I'd been online at the time, it would have been a permanent ban, but was Jenny's choice at the end of the day. There's technically no way to prevent one player from voting.. the vote system is either on for everyone, on for admins only or off. Regarding any potential backlash of taking action; I strongly believe that the rules stand for everyone, regardless of position or popularity. For this reason I'd have no qualms in banning for intentional TKing or racism regardless whether it was a random player, a regular player or clan member. I will however keep a closer eye on blood dragon. -------------------- |
