Ok this may be daft... but what are your goals in minecraft?
You might wonder why I ask this, well I just think its an awesome way of assigning roles (unrestricted and unofficial yet worthwhile... possibly). Tell us your plans and hopefully, in the true spirit of minecraft, we can help you achieve them. I, personally, love nothing more than helping folks out as much as I can (dig deep in my mines and chests and use the resources well). That, and organisation, seem to be my main drives in the minecraft world. I opt to become your road-maker, border definer (think of me as the council over counties) and sign-writer (this meaning I place signs not write them, most of the time I don't know exactly what the area is... I just know when a sign telling us what to do or where we are is necessary). Roads, despite our thriving rail network, are our mental mapping tools. They help us create a link to the (virtual) physical environment thus enriching our sociable experiences by appropriating regions of space to our minecraft population. This in turn, like reality, gives a sense of community. I love architecture and strive to create interesting structures and habitats. Secondary to my main drive is the idea of (virtual) physical beauty. I like vistas and landscapes. The elegance of random chaos to provide us with picturesque scenery, and the modification or taming of those environments, deemed ugly or abrasive, allows us to perfect this further. A landscape gardener might be another good description of my interest set. Given my interests and drives you would be forgiven if you thought my approach to minecraft a rather stale and organised one, but in truth I encourage diversity. Logic and reason have always been good companions to me yet I do not like to see their use ridged. Innovation, after all, is gained from thinking from outside of the box, after all What about you? What do you find interesting in the virtual world we are creating? Be free to be as definate or non-committal as you like I look forward to seeing what your all up to -------------------- Are we going to the same place, and if so can I come?
