I was one of the people to whom Draconix referred to. I recommended that Draconix does issue a ban. This is because our job is to keep the peace on the server and keep it a friendly atmosphere, not to serve as miniature court judges or detectives which take the context or intent into account. It doesn't matter if you can write a whole essay sufficiently proving that in the past, negro wasn't used as a racial slur and thus it isn't one now. The real reason why a ban was issued is that you used vocabulary that we can presume a sufficient number of people will find offensive/uncomfortable and thus, to keep the peace, you were banned.

Take this with a grain of salt as this is just my opinion - I do not know if others share my opinion or would have done the same thing in my position.

I'm with Turbo on this one. I can see where he is coming from. A lot of the action taken by admins is up to admin discretion. Stormcrow was not only warned multiple times but also denied being warned and kept on with the disruptive behavior. Turbo had full rights to kick there, I can even quote from the rules :

"Admins have the rights to remove players from game for reasons such as excessively high ping (typically around 200ms although this may be lower/higher depending on server performance) or for behaviour that is considered disruptive to the server as a whole, including excessive use of high-fov 3rd person VG overheads (these players should be warned and kicked first)"

Furthermore,

"@regarding trolls: admins do not have to explain themselves to the server in general . Think of the servers like a house party that we're inviting you to. You turn up and start belittling, patronizing and condescending the hosts, their house or other guests and unsurprisingly you'd be asked to leave, or just be thrown out. Same applies to our servers."

On the "belittling, patronizing and condescending" part, you did say the following things towards the admins, which come under the aforementioned categories:

In my opinion, that kick should be expanded to a temp ban for being an asshole to admins and for how you handled this situation. After messaging the admin, demanding an explanation, Turbo explained why he kicked you but rather than understanding why you were kicked, you decided it was a good idea to blame the admin for everything and then ask for an apology.

Honestly, you just came back at the very, very wrong time. With the steam summer sale, there were LOTS of new players. It's like this after every sale, it passes with time as players get better/filter out.

I have to confess, I put the idea in Pengu's head. I proposed to troll TimeWave (in good humor) by switching him maybe once

I banned two guys recently, one for saying the 'n word' and another one for spamming it in chat. The rules are clear, racist language (NOT just racism, racist language too) is a ban (duration up to the admin discretion, I checked with MonkeyFeind when I was new). Mostly because I'm sort of lazy but also because I really don't appreciate racist language, I just use the console to permaban.
