The SneakyMonkeys were formed in 2007 originally to play Battlefield2 and have fun in a cheat free environment. After a brief stint in Left4Dead, we turned to BattleField BC2, but it didn't offer the gameplay experience we were after. At the moment we're waiting for the impending release of BF3 for which we'll be maintaining servers.

We've also had some MMO experience. The SM guild is separate to the clan and can be accessed by the link to the right.

We're not about strict organisation and mandatory practices - we're just here to play games and enjoy ourselves - Our servers have been consistently ranked amongst the top in the UK, so we must be doing something right! :P

The Beta test for BF3 has been announced today and it is the 29th Sept until 10th October

Sadly it's Op Metro on Rush (BAH!) with 32 players. A second map may also be available.

Just a quick heads up, after the recent server move there's been some domain name shennanigans from the webhosts, so you may not be able to access the forums.

This is due to A-Records not existing for www.sneakymonkeys.com (the URL: http://sneakymonkeys.com technically works but it's not what the forum uses)

Have raised a support request for them to update their DNS A-records and expect forum access to return shortly

Unfortunately sod's law, this coincides with the announcement of the BF3 beta. See news article above. In the meantime if you need to contact me, please mail monkeyfiend@gmail.com

Although we're not at E3, we'll be linking to the live stream for Battlefield 3 content and analysing any info we can get from the various videos we can get our hands on.

As part of testing Procon admin code for the future release of BF3, we've set up a Battlefield Bad Company 2 server on Laguna Presa

The server is called "=SM= sneakymonkeys.com laguna presa" and can be found on 217.163.29.173 Port: 19567.

Feel free to use this server, change any of the settings or completely ignore it (Just behave as per the clan rules).
If by some chance it becomes busy, we should probably leave it on those settings.

Yahtzee reviews the best and worst games of 2010. Has been a pretty poor year in the world of gaming, but there are a couple of games worth playing (and several worth avoiding at all costs)

Personally I'd recommend checking out Red Dead redemption and Dead Rising 2 is always a lot of fun. A sad showing on the multiplayer front though and surprisingly BC2 didn't make it into the list.

07/28/2010Closing Down BC2 Servers

As of the 28/07/10 the clan has voted to drop support for our BC2 and as such have turned off our servers and cancelled our server subs.

BC2 had great potential. It had some nice features (particularily destruction and graphics) however it was plagued by inflexability, lack of modding ability, lack of admin ability (including the ability to spectate to check for cheats), lack of competetive support and many gameplay issues - broken knives, hit reg, lag.. all combined with a distinct lack of urgency to resolve the many many issues.

We had hoped that BC2 would be our replacement from the good old days of BF2 however it hasn't turned out that way, with most clan members now playing other games again.

We'd like to thank all those who've played in our servers and wish everyone still playing BC2 good luck (you'll probably need it :P)
