That special time of the month is here again, when MonkeyFiend gets all moody and bleeding is likely involved*...
That's right, it time to once again cough up £5 from your moth infested wallets and contribute to the upkeep of your game server and website :-)
And to take the hassle out of monthly donations there is a subscriptions manager link (just below the paypal button) where you can simply set up (or cancel) monthly payments without having to remember yourself... what could be easier?!
* in this case the blood will be from those that don't donate...

Well on the 3 year anniversary of bf2, we've finally received an 'OFFICIAL' announcement of a much sought-after patch for bf2.

Updates to this is that we see the retention of the master account servers (and therefore no change to rank system), bug fixes (hopefully MANY) and a new map
Will post more info as and when we can :)

There's a couple of things to report this week, Firstly: The leadeerboard (on the left) is back online. BF2S is still down, but we've worked around it - clan members can click on the links in the left hand menu or the leaderboard link in the main area to view stats.
We'll also testing a SM signature generator with auto-updating stats in the next few days!
Next: we've added a stats pages for non-clan members, these are available to the public on:

So there's no excuse for not knowing what you need for your next rank or badge! Any questions/comments please post away in the forums :-)

Finally getting back to reviewing a good old PC game - yahtzee takes a look at Oblivion. I actually bought this game myself - was entertained for a few hours but eventually got bored.
Admittedly at the time the game was very pretty but buggy and often I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing or where I was supposed to be going - usually resulting in me falling back to the usual plan e.g. kill everything I could find :P
I still find it strange there was a top 100 games of all time in PC gamer that listed Oblivion as Number 1 - it was a groundbreaking game (but then again so was crysis :s)

Although I've announced this in the forums, I thought I'd include it onthe front page.
Our server is now logging the IP/Hash/name of every players that joins - now over 6000. Admins (clan members) can go to the player database and lookup up suspect players.
Useful if you need to ban a player when they are no longer online.

You will need a username/password - you can get this from the members section in the forums.

Every now and again yahtzee gets to review an older game (although personally I think he should have reviewed fantasy world dizzy :P) and this weeks choice is painkiller.
I have to admit I played this for a few hours too and quite liked it, although it did get pretty samey after a while.
You can really tell when the games market is slack though - nothing else out thats even worth reviewing :(

This week yahtzee takes a look at grand theft auto 4 - I fondly remember getting GTA3 on the PS2 and playing for many many hours.
Worryingly my flatmate at the time spent an entire night playing then had to go and move his car in the morning. While walking down the road, he said that he actually did size up a few of the cars parked on the road.

Ahh some of the replies from people remind me of the hatemail directed to the church of the flying spaghetti monster (check that out too..)
I've always wondered why nintendo fanboys are obsessed with defending their distinctly below par games... still never managed to figure it out.
