The sneakymonkeys were formed in 2007 originally to play Battlefield2 and have fun in a cheat free environment. After a brief respite into the world of Left4Dead we're now playing Battlefield Bad Company 2. We're not about strict organisation and mandatory practices - we're just here to play games and enjoy ourselves - we're ranked amongst the top UK servers, so we must be doing something right! :P

07/28/2010Closing Down BC2 Servers

As of the 28/07/10 the clan has voted to drop support for our BC2 and as such have turned off our servers and cancelled our server subs.

BC2 had great potential. It had some nice features (particularily destruction and graphics) however it was plagued by inflexability, lack of modding ability, lack of admin ability (including the ability to spectate to check for cheats), lack of competetive support and many gameplay issues - broken knives, hit reg, lag.. all combined with a distinct lack of urgency to resolve the many many issues.

We had hoped that BC2 would be our replacement from the good old days of BF2 however it hasn't turned out that way, with most clan members now playing other games again.

We'd like to thank all those who've played in our servers and wish everyone still playing BC2 good luck (you'll probably need it :P)

Couple of status updates:

Firstly we've moved the DM server from multiplay to rackage. You will however need to update your bookmarks (search for SneakyMonkeys.com DM) the admin details are in the members forum.

Next up due to the occasional technical issue with TS3 (voices becoming garbled etc.,) we've got a backup TS3 server that is for =SM= only or can be used when the main server is having issues. Again, details in the members area.

Finally there will be a few changes as the servers (currenntly some on R8 and R9 will be upgraded to R10 this coming week)

OUR SERVER HAS MOVED!

Due to ongoing performance problems with our conquest server, we have moved to a different machine.

This means that the server IP has changed and any favourite bookmarks that you have will need to be updated.

The server name has remained the same, so to update your favourites, just do a search for Multiplay.co.uk : SneakyMonkeys.com

I've posted deatails in the forums regarding this, additionally the admin login details are posted in the clan members section.

If you cast your eyes to the left a bit, you should gaze upon a new teamspeak bit of the website.

We've added a new Teamspeak 3 server for improved audio etc., currently running on stretch from 20-100 slots if needed. The teamspeak 2 server is still online and open to the public, but give TS3 a chance then if you're a clan member decide which voice comms we should keep.

All =SM= can request full admin rights, just catch another admin or monkeyfiend on TS3. The client software can be downloaded from our forums or downloads area and the easiest way to connect is to click on the name in the block on the left.

03/07/2010Bad Company 2 Server

Our BC2 server is online, details can be seen above. Currently we're experiencing a variety of issues including server crashing and connections to the EA master server (plasma) being dropped.

EA are currently working on a solution and there's a variety of threads discussing this on the EA forums.

Even with all the launch day disruptions, the =SM= server is currently ranked 582nd in the world. Give us a couple of weeks and I hope we'll be in the top 20 UK servers (just like we were with BF2)

If you do crash out try to rejoin. If you have any specific rules/map ideas please let us know in the forums :)
